Independent Advice & Transparent Fees

I understand your time is valuable and that you’d like to be doing other things than picking mutual funds in your 401(k), calculating savings amounts for a future expense, or trying to figure out if you’re just going to be OK or not in retirement with the amount your saving.

I get that with a quick Google search, you can find a thousand articles that all contradict each other on how to manage your finances.

I know you’ve been in those awkward “financial planning” meetings only to be sold something at the end that makes you have a bad gut feeling.

And I am here to help answer your questions, give you clarity and advice specific to your situation, and not sell you anything for the life of our relationship.

Financial Planning

Financial planning starts with discussing the primary objective on your mind and how we may be able to help. Then the conversation is focused on getting to know you and the goals you may have. This may seem backwards compared to what you’ve experienced in the past, but we are interested addressing the needs you have first, who you are, understanding what you’d like to accomplish with your money, and those that are most important around you.

After we both determine that we are mutually a good fit, we move into the detailed planning phase where we take a dive into all facets of planning for your specific situation This includes the following topics from a planning perspective:

  • Insurance - Life, home, auto, umbrella, short-term disability, long-term disability, long-term care.

  • Tax - Income, capital gains, NIIT, tax return review, Roth vs pre-tax.

  • Investment - full investment review, recommendations, and management.

  • Retirement - Social security, retirement account distributions.

  • Financial Management - budget, emergency funds, debt management.

  • Education - private school, college savings and investment.

  • Estate - beneficiary, estate tax, and estate document review.

From there, we will compile a plan that outlines where you are and our recommendations for how you should proceed in order to best meet your desired outcomes.
